Mark Riggins is a veteran Amazon.com principal software development engineer and was the architect of the Amazon's first distributed service that managed customer information and the refactoring projects that made that possible. Today, Mark helps other companies find their own secure migration path to the cloud by taking them from where they are to where they want to be. He has a proven track record in security and scalability. As the security architect at Visto.com, Mark was awarded 14 U.S. patents regarding cloud security architecture including methods of securely and remotely accessing encrypted files and emails, and synchronizing cloud storage. Mark began his career at AT&T Bell Laboratories / Secure Systems where he developed source code for one of the first Internet firewalls, an intrusion detection system and access control auditing, and he also found vulnerabilities and solutions. Mark has a Master's degree from North Carolina State University in Computer Engineering.
